Gabriel Jesus Could Leave Arsenal as Flamengo Eyes Shock Loan Deal

Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus might be heading for a surprise exit from the club this summer following the Gunners' move for Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres.

According to reports by Goal, Jesus is open to returning to his native Brazil, with Flamengo already holding talks over a potential loan deal for the 28-year-old forward.

Sources claim the Brazilian club is proposing a loan move with an option to buy, and they are willing to cover 50% of Jesus' salary, while Arsenal would handle the remaining half.

The player is reportedly keen on the move and has given Flamengo the green light to continue negotiations.

This possible transfer comes as Arsenal look to reshuffle their squad ahead of the new season. With Gyokeres expected to add firepower to the attack, Jesus’ chances of regular game time may be limited.

Meanwhile, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is also said to be keeping an eye on Crystal Palace playmaker Eberechi Eze as he looks to further strengthen the team’s midfield.

If the deal goes through, it would mark a dramatic return home for Jesus, who left Brazil for Europe in 2017 when he joined Manchester City before moving to Arsenal in 2022.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
