FURY SAYS JOSHUA FIGHT IS OFF, CALLS OUT USYK

Tyson Fury has claimed that his highly anticipated heavyweight fight with Anthony Joshua is off, as negotiations over the proposed November bout remain unresolved.

Fury made the announcement on social media, saying he was no longer expecting the long-awaited all-British clash to happen. He subsequently challenged former rival Oleksandr Usyk to a third fight, suggesting a November meeting.

The proposed Fury-Joshua bout has been affected by disagreements over the venue. Joshua’s camp has reportedly preferred a fight in the United Kingdom, while organisers have explored holding the event at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Despite Fury’s claim, Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, has rejected the suggestion that the fight has been cancelled. Hearn said Joshua remains committed to the agreement and that negotiations are still ongoing.

Fury and Usyk have already fought twice, with the Ukrainian winning both encounters in 2024.

Usyk’s camp has also indicated that Fury’s challenge would need to be backed by a formal offer before any discussions could progress.

For now, the future of the Fury-Joshua showdown remains uncertain, while Fury’s proposed trilogy fight with Usyk has added another twist to the heavyweight division.
