FUNAAB’S DVC APPOINTED PIONEER VC OF IRAGBIJI VARSITY
Professor Mufutau Olaoye Atayese, the current Deputy Vice Chancellor (Development) at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has been appointed as the pioneer Vice Chancellor of the newly established Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies, Iragbiji (FUADSI), Osun State.
A seasoned expert in Plant Nutrition with over three decades of academic and administrative experience, Professor Atayese is set to serve a single five-year term. He holds degrees from the University of Lagos (B.Sc. Botany, 1985) and the University of Ibadan (M.Sc. 1990, Ph.D. 1995 in Plant Physiology), and has held several key leadership roles at FUNAAB, including Dean of COLPLANT and member of the Governing Council.
In his new role, Professor Atayese is expected to guide FUADSI toward excellence in agricultural innovation and development. Congratulating him, FUNAAB Vice Chancellor Professor Babatunde Kehinde described the appointment as “a testament to FUNAAB’s legacy of producing leaders of excellence and vision.”
