Professor Mufutau Olaoye Atayese, the current Deputy Vice Chancellor (Development) at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has been appointed as the pioneer Vice Chancellor of the newly established Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies, Iragbiji (FUADSI), Osun State.

A seasoned expert in Plant Nutrition with over three decades of academic and administrative experience, Professor Atayese is set to serve a single five-year term. He holds degrees from the University of Lagos (B.Sc.
