FUBARA CALLS FOR PEACE AND UNITY AS MUSLIMS MARK EID-UL-MAWLID

Former Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has extended his greetings to Muslims across Nigeria as they celebrate Eid-ul-Mawlid, urging them to uphold peace, tolerance and unity.

Fubara, in a goodwill message marking the occasion, encouraged Muslims to reflect on the teachings and values associated with the life of Prophet Muhammad, particularly his emphasis on compassion, peaceful coexistence and respect for others.

He stressed the importance of tolerance and understanding at a time when the country continues to face various social and economic challenges.

The former governor called on Nigerians, regardless of religious or ethnic background, to promote harmony and avoid actions or statements capable of creating division within their communities.

According to him, the principles of kindness, humility and peaceful coexistence should extend beyond the celebration and become part of everyday interactions among citizens.

Fubara also urged Muslims to use the occasion to pray for Nigeria and its leaders, while contributing positively to the development and stability of the country.

He noted that religious celebrations provide an opportunity for people to strengthen bonds, show concern for one another and support those who may be facing difficulties.

The former Rivers governor encouraged Muslims to continue demonstrating the values of generosity and compassion by reaching out to vulnerable members of society and promoting peaceful relationships within their communities.

He expressed hope that the celebration would bring renewed commitment to peace, unity and mutual respect across the country.

Fubara wished Muslims a peaceful and meaningful Eid-ul-Mawlid celebration, urging them to allow the values associated with the occasion to guide their actions and interactions with others.
