FRSC REDEPLOYS FIVE ASSISTANT CORPS MARSHALS, EIGHT OTHERS

The Federal Road Safety Corps has redeployed 13 senior officers across various commands and departments in a move aimed at strengthening operational effectiveness, institutional capacity and service delivery.

The redeployment, approved by the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, affected officers in senior management and operational positions, including five Assistant Corps Marshals.

Among those redeployed, Assistant Corps Marshal GO Omiko, formerly in charge of Special Duties and External Relations, will now head the Operations Department.

Similarly, Assistant Corps Marshal EF Akinlade, formerly in charge of Research, has been redeployed to serve as Assistant Corps Marshal for Command Administration and Strategy in Operations at the FRSC National Headquarters in Abuja.

Assistant Corps Marshal JO Asaolu, who previously served in the Policy Advisory Unit, will take over as Assistant Corps Marshal for Research.

Also affected are Assistant Corps Marshal MB Ibrahim, who has been moved from the Special Marshals Department to Special Duties and External Relations, and Assistant Corps Marshal FA Ogidan, who has been redeployed as Zonal Commanding Officer for RS10HQ in Sokoto.

The FRSC said the exercise was designed to bring fresh perspectives into the organisation while ensuring that officers were deployed to positions where their experience and professional capabilities could have the greatest impact.

The Corps Marshal described the redeployment as a normal part of a dynamic organisation committed to continuous improvement.

He said strategic deployment remained important to building a responsive and performance-driven road safety institution capable of meeting the changing demands of traffic management and road safety administration.

The affected officers have been directed to report to their new commands and assume their duties immediately.

The Corps Marshal urged them to bring integrity, professionalism, innovation and commitment to their new assignments as the FRSC continues efforts to reduce road traffic crashes and improve safety on Nigerian roads.
