FRSC LAUDS PERSONNEL ON EID EL-KABIR SPECIAL PATROL
The Federal Road Safety Corps has commended personnel deployed for the ongoing Eid el-Kabir Special Patrol Operations across the country, praising their role in improving road safety and easing traffic movement during the festive season.
The Corps Marshal of the FRSC, Shehu Mohammed, gave the commendation after receiving reports from supervisory teams sent from the National Headquarters to monitor operations nationwide.
In a statement issued on Monday by the Corps Public Education Officer, Deputy Corps Commander Osondu Ohaeri, the FRSC leadership described the officers’ performance as professional, dedicated, and effective.
According to the statement, the personnel’s commitment and gallantry have contributed significantly to safer highways and smoother traffic flow during the Eid period.
“The commitment and gallantry demonstrated by the personnel have contributed significantly to the successes recorded so far in ensuring safer highways and smoother traffic flow during the festive period,” the Corps Marshal said.
Mohammed urged officers and men of the corps not to relent but to maintain the same level of dedication throughout the special patrol operations.
He also acknowledged the cooperation of motorists nationwide, saying the progress recorded so far was made possible through the combined efforts of FRSC personnel and members of the motoring public.
The Corps Marshal appealed to road users to continue obeying traffic rules and all safety advisories issued during the festive season.
He warned against dangerous driving habits such as speeding, reckless overtaking, overloading, and the use of mobile phones while driving, noting that such violations remain major causes of road crashes.
Mohammed stressed that road safety is a collective responsibility and reminded motorists that “the road does not forgive mistakes.”
The FRSC reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining enforcement, public enlightenment campaigns, traffic management, and emergency rescue services to ensure a safe and hitch-free post-Eid el-Kabir celebration across Nigerian highways.
