African footballers continue to earn some of the most lucrative contracts in the English Premier League, with stars from across the continent securing prominent roles at some of England’s biggest clubs.

Based on reported salary estimates, Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush tops the list of the highest-paid African players in the Premier League.

Players from Cameroon, Ghana, Morocco, Ivory Coast, DR Congo, Algeria and Nigeria are also among the highest earners.

Omar Marmoush – Egypt, Manchester City

Marmoush reportedly leads the list with a weekly salary of £295,000.

The Egyptian forward joined Manchester City from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025 following an impressive spell in the Bundesliga.

His reported salary is almost double that of the African players earning £150,000 per week, placing him among the Premier League’s highest-paid African stars.

Bryan Mbeumo – Cameroon, Manchester United

Cameroon international Bryan Mbeumo is reportedly earning £150,000 per week at Manchester United.

The forward joined the club from Brentford and has established himself as one of Cameroon’s leading attacking players in the Premier League.

Antoine Semenyo – Ghana, Manchester City

Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo is also reportedly earning £150,000 per week at Manchester City.

His development in English football has seen his profile rise significantly, leading to a lucrative move to the Etihad Stadium.

Mohammed Kudus – Ghana, Tottenham Hotspur

Carlos Baleba – Cameroon, Manchester United

Cameroon midfielder Carlos Baleba is reportedly set to earn around £90,000 per week following his move to Manchester United from Brighton & Hove Albion.

The 22-year-old spent three seasons at Brighton after joining from Lille in 2023 before securing his move to Old Trafford.

Alex Iwobi – Nigeria, Fulham

Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi is estimated to earn around £80,000 per week at Fulham.
 

That translates to approximately £4.16 million per year, excluding bonuses.

Iwobi joined Fulham from Everton in September 2023 and remains one of Nigeria’s most prominent players in the Premier League.
