Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen is set to play a key role as the club prepares for back-to-back high-profile matches against Beşiktaş and Liverpool.

The Turkish Super Lig derby against Beşiktaş takes place on Saturday evening, followed by a Champions League Round of 16 clash with Liverpool on Tuesday. Osimhen was rested for Galatasaray’s Turkish Cup win over Alanyaspor on Tuesday.

Speaking on the 90+ Digital YouTube channel, Galatasaray reporter Kaya Temel revealed the striker’s influence at the club.

“Osimhen is incredibly motivated. He is energizing the team and continues to do so. He motivated his teammates very well in training,” Temel said.

He added, “We are making plans to definitely secure three points from the Beşiktaş derby and further boost our chances of winning the championship.”
