2023 APC flagbearer calls for total intra-party reconciliation and unity ahead of 2027 general elections in Oyo State

Former Leader of the Senate and 2023 governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Senator Teslim Folarin, has officially resolved his political differences with Senator Sharafadeen Alli, publicly declaring full support for Alli’s gubernatorial bid.

The reconciliation marks a major political development within the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress as key leaders move to unify party structures and consolidate grassroots support across the state's three senatorial districts ahead of the upcoming electoral cycle.

Speaking at a strategic harmony meeting in Ibadan, Senator Folarin emphasized that internal cohesion, forgiveness, and collective purpose remain imperative for the APC to present a formidable front and secure executive victory in Oyo State.

Senator Folarin urged all aggrieved party chieftains, factional groups, and loyalists across the 33 local government areas to put past primary election grievances aside, align behind Senator Alli's leadership, and focus on building an inclusive campaign structure.

Accepting the endorsement, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, who currently represents Oyo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, expressed deep appreciation to Senator Folarin and party elders for demonstrating political maturity and prioritizing party unity above personal interests.

Party leaders present at the gathering commended the reconciliation effort, describing the united stance of both prominent politicians as a decisive turning point that significantly boosts the APC's prospects in Oyo State.
