Former Chelsea midfielder Oscar was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday after collapsing during a training session in São Paulo, Brazil. The 34-year-old reportedly fell unconscious for up to two minutes during pre-season medical tests at his club’s training ground.
Oscar was immediately taken to the Albert Einstein Israelite Hospital, where he is undergoing a series of heart checks after suspected cardiac issues. Reports indicate that he is currently in a stable condition.
The incident has prompted the Brazilian midfielder to consider retiring from professional football, according to the UK Metro.
Oscar is a family man, with an 11-year-old daughter and an 8-year-old son with his wife, Ludmila, who is currently pregnant with their third child.
