FLUTTERWAVE RESHUFFLES LEADERSHIP TO BOOST RISK, COMPLIANCE & REGULATORY OVERSIGHT
Flutterwave, Africa’s leading payments technology company, has announced key leadership changes aimed at strengthening its risk management, compliance, regulatory, and legal functions. The move is part of a planned succession strategy designed to support the company’s global expansion and long-term growth.
The company has appointed Prashant Kalia as Chief Risk and Compliance Officer. With over 20 years of leadership experience at Circle, Stripe, Amazon, and American Express, Kalia brings deep expertise in global risk and compliance. He previously advised tech companies at McKinsey after completing his MBA from Columbia University.
Meanwhile, Mobolaji Bammeke, who has led compliance at Flutterwave for five years, will now serve as Chief Regulatory and Data Protection Officer, focusing on regulatory compliance in Nigeria while expanding oversight on data privacy across all markets.
Oluwabankole “Bankole” Falade will continue as Chief Legal, Regulatory, and Public Policy Officer, ensuring synergy across Flutterwave’s legal and regulatory engagements.
Outgoing Chief Risk Officer, Amaresh Mohan, credited for building Flutterwave’s risk function, will remain as Strategic Advisor to Kalia and Flutterwave CEO Olugbenga “GB” Agboola.
“These key changes demonstrate our proactive approach to risk management, compliance, regulatory, and legal affairs,” Agboola said. “Prashant’s expertise, along with Mobolaji and Bankole’s leadership, ensures Flutterwave continues to meet the highest global standards.”
