FIVE SHIPS TO BRING 154 MILLION LITRES OF IMPORTED PETROL TO NIGERIA

Nigeria is set to receive 154 million litres of imported petrol through five incoming vessels as marketers move to strengthen fuel supply and meet rising demand across the country.

The deliveries are expected to boost fuel availability, replenish depot inventories, and support stable distribution to retail outlets nationwide. Industry stakeholders said the additional imports would help ease supply pressures and reduce the risk of fuel shortages in key markets.

Energy analysts noted that the continued importation of petrol reflects efforts to maintain adequate stock levels while domestic refining capacity continues to expand. They added that a steady supply of petroleum products is essential to supporting transportation, commerce, and industrial activities.

The incoming cargoes are also expected to improve market confidence by ensuring sufficient product availability and reducing disruptions in the downstream petroleum sector.
