FIVE DIE IN 30 KANO FIRE INCIDENTS
No fewer than five people have lost their lives in 30 separate fire outbreaks recorded in Kano State in recent weeks, according to the Kano State Fire Service.
The fires, which occurred in residential, commercial, and industrial areas, were largely attributed to electrical faults, gas cylinder explosions, and negligence. The Fire Service Director, Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi, urged residents to observe safety precautions and avoid practices that could trigger fire disasters.
The state government has called for greater awareness and the installation of fire safety equipment in homes and businesses.
The incidents have raised concerns about the need for improved emergency response infrastructure and public education on fire prevention.
