Popular Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo is counting her blessings after a fire broke out at her office in Lagos on Tuesday night.

The incident, which happened around 7pm, left parts of the building damaged. Iyabo took to Instagram to share a video of the aftermath, expressing relief that despite the destruction, no lives were lost.

“This just happened today around 7 pm. My office caught fire,” she wrote. “Thanks to the Nigerian Fire Service and my staff for salvaging what was left. Thankfully, no lives were lost. The devil tested us, but God said no. With God on my side, we will bounce back bigger and better.”

Iyabo’s fans and colleagues have since flooded her comment section with messages of support and encouragement. Many praised her positive outlook and thanked God for sparing lives.

The fire incident comes barely two months after Iyabo’s daughter, Priscilla Ojo, tied the knot with popular Tanzanian singer, Juma Jux.

While the cause of the fire is yet to be confirmed, Iyabo’s calm and hopeful response has inspired many, proving that even in challenging moments, gratitude and faith can shine through.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
