FIFA U-20 World Cup: Morocco Only African Team Left as Quarter-Final Lineup Is Set

The quarter-final fixtures for the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup have been officially confirmed following the conclusion of the Round of 16 matches played between Thursday and the early hours of Friday.

Africa’s last hope in the competition, Morocco, booked their place in the last eight after defeating South Korea 2-1 in a thrilling encounter. The North African side now stands as the only African nation left in the tournament.

Other African representatives, Nigeria and South Africa, crashed out earlier in the knockout stage. The Flying Eagles suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat to Argentina, while South Africa bowed out after a 3-1 loss to Colombia.

The quarter-final ties will be played across Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, with top football nations set to battle for a spot in the semi-finals.

Here’s the full list of the FIFA U-20 World Cup quarter-final fixtures:

Spain vs Colombia

Mexico vs Argentina

USA vs Morocco

Norway vs France

Fans around the world will be keenly watching to see whether Morocco can continue their historic run and make it into the semi-finals.
