Four countries have booked their spots in the quarter-final stage of the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile, following the completion of Wednesday’s Round of 16 fixtures.

The teams that have advanced so far are Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, and Spain.

Host nation Argentina produced a dominant performance, thrashing Nigeria 4-0 to secure their place in the last eight, while Colombia defeated South Africa 3-1 to also progress.

Earlier, Mexico and Spain sealed their qualifications after impressive wins in their respective matches earlier in the week.

More Round of 16 fixtures are scheduled for Thursday, with Paraguay facing Norway, Japan taking on France, and USA clashing with Italy — all competing for the remaining quarter-final slots.
