FiberOne Broadband has expanded its corporate social responsibility efforts across Lagos, moving beyond internet connectivity to support community infrastructure, technical skills development, and youth empowerment. 

As part of the initiative, the company inaugurated a rehabilitated road and street-lighting project covering parts of Anthony and Mende communities in Kosofe Local Government Area.

FiberOne said its community-focused efforts also include the FiberOne Training Academy (FOTA), which provides free practical engineering training to residents, with outstanding participants considered for employment opportunities.

The company is also running MindMasterz, a secondary school competition designed to encourage interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, as well as Project Giga, which seeks to improve internet access in schools.

FiberOne said Project Giga, which covered 10 schools in 2025, is being expanded to 30 schools in 2026.

Community leaders welcomed the projects but also urged the company to create more employment and empowerment opportunities for young people in the areas where it operates.

The company said it plans to extend its community interventions to more locations across Lagos and other parts of Nigeria as it expands its network. 
