FG VOWS ACTION AGAINST CôTE D’IVOIRE OVER NIGERIAN’S DEATH IN PRISON

The Federal Government has vowed to take strong diplomatic action against Côte d’Ivoire following the death of a Nigerian in a prison facility in the West African country.

The deceased, identified as a businessman, reportedly died under controversial circumstances while in detention. The Nigerian government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has demanded a full investigation and accountability from Ivorian authorities. “We will not tolerate the mistreatment of our citizens abroad,” a senior official stated.
