FG SUSPENDS PAYMENTS FOR UNVERIFIED CONSTITUENCY PROJECTS BY MDAS

The Federal Government has directed Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to halt payments for constituency projects that have not been properly verified, as part of efforts to strengthen accountability and improve public financial management.

According to government officials, the decision is aimed at ensuring that only duly executed and authenticated projects receive public funds. The move is also intended to prevent financial irregularities and enhance transparency in the implementation of constituency-based interventions.
