The Federal Government has unveiled a new initiative titled “FutureNow” Podcast aimed at amplifying the voices of children and creating a platform for them to share their thoughts, experiences, and aspirations.

According to officials, the podcast is designed to promote child participation in national conversations while also raising awareness on issues affecting children across Nigeria.

The initiative is part of broader efforts by the government to strengthen child-focused advocacy, education, and protection systems.

Organisers said the platform will feature discussions around education, safety, mental well-being, creativity, and opportunities available to young people in the country.

They added that the podcast will also serve as a bridge between policymakers and children, allowing decision-makers to better understand the challenges faced by younger citizens.

The Federal Government noted that giving children a voice is essential in shaping inclusive policies that reflect their needs and aspirations.

The “FutureNow” Podcast is expected to run regularly and feature guests from education, child development, and governance sectors, alongside young participants sharing real-life experiences.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
