FG INTENSIFIES EFFORTS TO END NATIONWIDE ELECTRICITY BLACKOUTS – MINISTER
The ongoing blackout affecting large parts of the country may soon be resolved, as the Federal Government has announced efforts to address the gas supply constraints impacting power generation.
Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, made this known on Thursday in his Eid-el-Fitr message to Nigerians. He noted that recent interventions by the administration of Bola Tinubu are beginning to produce positive results.
According to the minister, Nigerians can expect to see significant improvements in electricity supply as ongoing reforms take effect. He added that practical steps are already being implemented to ensure a more stable and sustainable power supply for households, businesses, and industries.
“Concrete measures are being implemented to deliver more reliable and sustainable electricity across the country,” he stated, expressing optimism that the benefits of the reforms will soon be fully realized.
The country was recently thrown into widespread darkness, disrupting economic activities and intensifying existing hardships for citizens. This situation has been further compounded by rising fuel prices, driven in part by the ongoing Middle East crisis.
