FG COMMENCES FEBRUARY 2026 SALARY PAYMENTS AFTER FIXING TECHNICAL GLITCH
The Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF) has announced that the Federal Government has started paying workers’ February 2026 salaries.
According to a statement issued on Monday by the Director of Press, Bawa Mokwa, salary disbursements began on March 2, 2026.
The OAGF attributed the delay in the February salary payments to a technical hitch, noting that the issue has now been resolved and safeguards have been introduced to prevent a recurrence.
The office also confirmed that it has received approval and completed the payment of one month’s wage award arrears out of the three months owed.
The development follows widespread concerns from Nigerian workers over the delay in receiving their February salaries.
