The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice John Terhemba Tsoho, has approved a fresh round of postings and redeployment involving judges across various divisions of the court in Nigeria.

The exercise follows the recent appointment of 14 new judges, alongside the reassignment of three serving judicial officers as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen judicial administration and improve case distribution across the country.

According to a statement signed by the Court’s Director of Information, Dr. Catherine Oby Christopher, and dated May 8, 2026, the affected judges are expected to assume duties at their new stations on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

Abuja, Lagos, and Other Divisions Affected

Under the new postings, Justice Salim Olasupo Ibrahim and Justice Onah Chigozie Sergius have been deployed to Abuja.

In Lagos, Justice Usoro Kuyik Uduak and Justice Nwoye Osinachi Donatus will take up new assignments.

Other redeployments include Justice Hassan Dikko to Gusau, Zamfara State, and Justice Sulaiman Amida Hassan to Osogbo, Osun State.

Justice Muhammad Barau Saidu has been assigned to Minna, Niger State, while Justice Igboko Chinelo Conchita moves to Akure, Ondo State.

Nationwide Judicial Movement

Further postings see Justice Onuegbu Chioma Angela heading to Yenagoa in Bayelsa State, Justice Galumje Edingah to Abakaliki in Ebonyi State, and Justice Ibrahim Vera Eneabo to Gombe.

Justice Abubakar Musa Usman will now serve in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

In the North-East region, Justice Salihu Aisha Yunusa has been posted to Damaturu, Yobe State, while Justice Shehu Umaru Adamu will take duty in Maiduguri, Borno State.

Other assignments include Justice Ikpeme Joy Bassey to Uyo, Akwa Ibom State; Justice Mohammed Ibrahim Buba to Dutse, Jigawa State; and Justice Binjin-Eigegbe Nendelmum Judith to Lokoja, Kogi State.

Strengthening Judicial Administration

The Federal High Court said the redeployment exercise is part of its broader strategy to enhance efficiency, balance workload across divisions, and improve access to justice nationwide.

All affected judges have been directed to comply with the resumption date without delay.

The latest postings represent one of the most extensive judicial reshuffles in recent times, reflecting ongoing efforts to reposition the Federal High Court for improved service delivery.
