FCT TRADITIONAL RULERS ENDORSE TINUBU, COMMEND WIKE’S PROJECTS
Traditional rulers in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have declared their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, citing visible government presence and development in satellite towns for the first time in many years.
The monarchs—Gomo of Kuje, Alhaji Dr Haruna C. Jibrin; Esu Sa’Rubochi, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Pada; and Etsu of Kwali, Luka Ayedo Nizassan—made their positions known while hosting members of the FCT Renewed Hope Ambassadors in their respective palaces on Thursday.
Speaking at his palace in Rubochi, the Esu Sa’Rubochi applauded the appointment of Hon. Adamu Abdullahi, popularly known as Candido, as Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors. He noted that the impact of governance is now evident in the community, remarking that “even the blind can feel the presence of government in Rubochi.”
The monarch pledged his unwavering support to President Tinubu and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, assuring that he would mobilise his people to ensure a decisive victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in future elections.
In Kuje, the Gomo of Kuje praised the significant improvements in road infrastructure, stating that better connectivity has attracted businesses and new residents, transforming the town into a growing economic hub. According to him, the renewed attention given to Kuje under President Tinubu’s administration, through the FCT Minister, is a clear demonstration of effective governance.
He pledged to fully mobilise his people for the upcoming Area Council elections and the President’s re-election, while also offering prayers for unity and success for the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.
At the palace of the Etsu of Kwali, the monarch’s spokesperson and former Area Council Chairman, Hon. Illiya Nizazo, expressed gratitude to the federal government for appointing the Coordinator and recognising Kwali by appointing one of its sons as a minister.
He commended the ongoing infrastructure projects in the area, noting that they have significantly boosted commercial activities. He assured President Tinubu of Kwali’s continued loyalty to the APC and urged the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to extend their engagement to all communities across the FCT.
Responding on behalf of the group, Hon. Abdullahi highlighted several development projects executed in the FCT under President Tinubu’s administration. He described Minister Wike as a committed and results-oriented leader, fondly referred to as “Mr Project.”
