FCMB TARGETS DIGITAL BANKING GROWTH THROUGH APP ENHANCEMENTS
First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has reaffirmed its commitment to digital transformation by rolling out significant enhancements to its mobile banking application, aiming to drive greater customer adoption and deepen its footprint in Nigeria’s competitive digital banking space.
The upgraded app features improved user interface, faster transaction processing, advanced security protocols, and new functionalities such as seamless bill payments, investment options, and personalised financial insights. FCMB Group Managing Director, Mr. Ladi Balogun, described the upgrades as part of the bank’s strategy to offer world-class digital experiences.
“Our goal is to make banking simple, secure, and accessible for all Nigerians. These enhancements reflect our investment in technology to meet evolving customer needs,” Balogun stated. The bank has also intensified customer education campaigns to encourage wider usage of the platform.
Industry observers view the move as a strategic response to rising demand for convenient and contactless banking services. FCMB plans further innovations, including integration of artificial intelligence for fraud detection and financial advisory tools.
The development underscores the bank’s focus on digital growth as a key pillar of its overall business strategy in a rapidly evolving financial services landscape.
