First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has announced a record profit of N177 billion for the 2025 financial year, demonstrating strong performance across its core banking and non-banking subsidiaries. The bank also declared a dividend payout of N23 billion to shareholders.

The impressive results were driven by robust growth in retail and corporate banking, digital services, and investment banking activities. FCMB Group Managing Director, Mr. Ladi Balogun, attributed the success to strategic execution, customer focus, and prudent risk management. “We are pleased with the performance and remain committed to delivering value to our stakeholders,” Balogun said.

The dividend payment reflects the bank’s strong capital position and confidence in its future prospects. Shareholders have welcomed the announcement, viewing it as a reward for their loyalty and a sign of the bank’s resilience in a challenging economic environment.

Analysts have commended FCMB’s consistent profitability and strategic growth initiatives. The bank plans to leverage its strong balance sheet to expand its digital offerings and support key sectors of the economy.
