FCMB JOINS ALITHEIA CAPITAL TO STRENGTHEN WOMEN-LED BUSINESSES
First City Monument Bank has partnered with Alitheia Capital for the 2026 W.O.M.A.N. Conference, a two-day event designed to support the growth of women-led businesses across Nigeria. The conference is scheduled to hold in Lagos on September 10 and 11, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, financial institutions, policymakers and other key players in the business sector.
The event, convened by Alitheia Capital, is expected to attract more than 300 women-led micro, small and medium-sized enterprises operating mainly in manufacturing, agribusiness, nutrition and related sectors. The participating businesses will have opportunities to connect with potential financiers, investors, development organisations and industry leaders while gaining practical knowledge to help them expand their operations.
FCMB is supporting the conference as its exclusive banking partner through SheVentures, the bank’s initiative focused on women-owned businesses. The partnership will provide participants with access to discussions around financing, investment and market opportunities, while also helping entrepreneurs understand the requirements for becoming more prepared to secure funding for their businesses.
The conference will feature expert sessions covering areas including financial management, governance, climate resilience, green manufacturing, energy transition and access to capital. FCMB executives Nnenna Jacob-Ogogo and Oluremi Agboola are expected to contribute to discussions on how women entrepreneurs can improve their businesses’ financial readiness and identify funding options suitable for different stages of growth.
Beyond the two-day conference, the 2026 W.O.M.A.N. programme will include investment-readiness sessions, access-to-finance pathways and digital capacity-building activities across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones. The programme is also expected to use Alitheia Capital’s Nzinga platform to track participating businesses and monitor indicators such as capital raised, revenue growth and jobs created over the following 12 months.
