FCMB, 247 TRAVELS UNVEIL N10M TICKET FINANCING SCHEME
FCMB and 247 Travels have launched a new N10 million ticket financing scheme to make international travel more accessible to Nigerians by offering flexible payment plans for flight tickets.
The partnership was announced on Friday during a joint press conference in Lagos. The scheme allows customers to book flights and pay in instalments over a period of up to 12 months, with competitive interest rates and minimal documentation requirements.
FCMB’s Head of Retail Banking, Mrs. Funke Ogunmefun, said the initiative is part of the bank’s commitment to supporting the aspirations of Nigerians and promoting financial inclusion. “Travel is a major aspiration for many. This financing scheme removes the barrier of upfront payment and makes it easier for people to travel for business, leisure, or family reasons,” Ogunmefun stated.
The Managing Director of 247 Travels, Mr. Chinedu Eze, expressed excitement about the partnership, noting that it will boost travel bookings and support the growth of the travel industry in Nigeria. “Our collaboration with FCMB will make international travel more affordable and convenient. We are committed to providing seamless travel experiences for our customers,” Eze said.
The scheme is open to both individual and corporate customers who meet the eligibility criteria. Applicants can apply through the FCMB mobile app or at designated 247 Travels offices. The partners have assured that the process is fast, transparent, and customer-friendly.
Travel industry stakeholders have welcomed the initiative, describing it as a timely solution to the high cost of international travel and the challenge of raising funds for tickets. The scheme is expected to increase travel bookings and contribute to the growth of the aviation and tourism sectors.
FCMB and 247 Travels have pledged to monitor the performance of the scheme and make necessary adjustments to better serve customers. The N10 million ticket financing scheme is the latest in a series of innovative products aimed at making essential services more accessible to Nigerians.
