FATOLA PRESENTS FIVE-POINT AGENDA AHEAD OF IBADAN FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY POLL

The Peoples Democratic Party candidate for the Ibadan Northwest/Ibadan Southwest Federal Constituency, Hon. Samson Opeyemi Fatola, has unveiled a five-point manifesto outlining his plans for the constituency ahead of the 2027 elections. Fatola said the agenda was designed to address key challenges confronting residents while providing a clear direction for effective representation at the National Assembly.

The PDP candidate explained that his proposed programme would focus on areas considered essential to improving the living conditions and economic prospects of people across the constituency. He said the manifesto was developed with the needs of residents in mind, stressing that political representation should go beyond legislation and include practical interventions that directly benefit communities.

Fatola also presented his candidacy as an opportunity for residents to demand greater accountability and purposeful representation. He emphasised the importance of having a representative who would remain connected to constituents, understand their concerns and pursue policies and projects capable of producing measurable improvements in their communities.

According to the candidate, the five-pillar agenda is intended to provide a framework for addressing developmental needs while strengthening opportunities for residents, particularly young people and other groups seeking better economic prospects. He said his commitment would be to ensure that the constituency receives stronger advocacy and meaningful representation at the federal level.

The unveiling comes as political activities gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections, with candidates and political parties beginning to present their programmes to voters. Fatola is expected to use the manifesto as a central part of his campaign to convince voters in Ibadan Northwest and Ibadan Southwest that his proposed approach can deliver more effective representation for the constituency.
