FASHION INSTITUTE GRADUATES 30 ENTREPRENEURS, TARGETS GLOBAL BRANDS
The Lagos Fashion Institute has graduated 30 new entrepreneurs equipped with the skills and knowledge to compete in the global fashion industry.
The graduation ceremony, held on Friday in Lagos, celebrated the successful completion of the institute’s intensive training programme, which covered fashion design, business management, marketing, and sustainable practices. The graduates are expected to launch their own fashion brands or take up key roles in the industry.
The Director of the Lagos Fashion Institute, Mrs. Funke Adebayo, said the programme is designed to produce world-class fashion entrepreneurs who can represent Nigeria on the global stage. “These 30 graduates are ready to take the fashion industry by storm. We have equipped them with the tools to create brands that can compete internationally,” Adebayo stated.
The institute has partnered with leading fashion houses and industry experts to provide the graduates with mentorship and internship opportunities. It has also established a fund to support the launch of new fashion brands by its alumni.
The graduates expressed gratitude for the opportunity and confidence in their ability to succeed in the competitive fashion world. Many have already started working on their debut collections and business plans.
Fashion industry stakeholders have welcomed the development, noting that the institute’s focus on entrepreneurship and global competitiveness will help elevate Nigerian fashion on the international scene. They called for more investment in fashion education and the creative industry to unlock its full potential.
The Lagos Fashion Institute has set a target of producing over 100 fashion entrepreneurs annually and positioning Nigeria as a major player in the global fashion industry. The graduation of the 30 new entrepreneurs is seen as a significant step towards achieving that vision.
