Super Eagles and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, has opened up about the downside of being famous, describing it as “boring” and restrictive.

In a recent interview with Instablog TV, Osimhen revealed that fame often prevents him from enjoying everyday moments the way he used to before becoming a global football star.

“I like to stay around the people in Olusosun,” he said, referring to the Lagos neighborhood where he grew up. “It helps me feel grounded and free. Fame is boring. Sometimes, you just want to step out and do normal things, but you can’t.”

The football star also shared a personal moment, explaining how fame affected his time with his daughter. “When my family came to visit me in Italy, I wanted to take my daughter out. But I couldn’t enjoy the moment with her. I ended up giving her to my sister because people kept asking for pictures and videos,” he recalled.

Despite his success on the pitch, Osimhen says he still finds comfort in the simple lifestyle and community spirit of his roots in Olusosun, far away from the constant attention that comes with being in the spotlight.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
