EZE’S RELEASE CLAUSE EXPIRES AS MAN UTD LOAN OUT TOBY COLLYER
Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze will no longer be available for a set transfer fee after his £60m release clause, plus £8m in add-ons, officially expired with the start of the new Premier League season.
The 27-year-old attacking midfielder has attracted interest from top clubs, including Arsenal and Tottenham, but any side still keen on signing him will now have to negotiate directly with Crystal Palace for a transfer fee.
Eze has been a key figure for the Eagles and remains one of the most sought-after talents in the league, but his future at Selhurst Park appears secure for now.
Meanwhile, Manchester United confirmed on Friday that young midfielder Toby Collyer will spend the season on loan at Championship side West Bromwich Albion.
Collyer, who joined United’s academy in March 2022, featured 13 times for the first team last season and even made his Premier League debut against Liverpool in September. The loan move is expected to give the 21-year-old more regular playing time to aid his development.
