EXPERTS WARN: NIGERIAN MEN RISKING DEATH TO IMPRESS SIDE CHICKS WITH SEX ENHANCERS

A disturbing trend is quietly claiming lives across Nigeria — men, mostly married, are reportedly dying during sexual encounters with women who are not their wives. Health experts and social commentators are now speaking out, blaming the growing use of sex-enhancing drugs and the pressure to impress side chicks.

Recently, a university lecturer from Kogi State and a Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) staff, Mr. Louis Nwachukwu, were both found dead in hotels after private encounters with women. These incidents have raised serious concerns over what experts describe as an "avoidable health and moral crisis."

Why It’s Happening: The Deadly Chase to Impress

Clinical Psychologist Mcfredericks Akor Edache explained that many men, driven by pressure to perform, turn to sex-enhancement drugs. These substances force prolonged erections and delay orgasm, but they also dangerously reduce blood flow to vital organs — sometimes leading to heart failure or death.

“Men should not feel threatened if a woman calls them weak or a one-minute man,” Edache said. “Sex is meant to be enjoyed naturally. Proper foreplay can create mutual satisfaction without the need for performance-enhancing substances.”

He also noted that women usually reach climax later than men, and this natural delay is why some men use enhancement drugs to "match pace" — often at the cost of their health.

Sex Like Exercise — But Riskier If You’re Not Fit

Hassan Alowonle, a lecturer based in Kwara State, likened sex to physical exercise. He stressed that men with underlying health issues, especially heart disease, are at great risk when engaging in intense sexual activity, particularly when it involves extra effort to impress a new or younger partner.

“Men need to undergo proper medical check-ups before engaging in sexual relationships — especially those planning to use enhancement drugs,” he warned.

The Moral & Cultural Angle: It’s More Than Just Health

Divine Mike Akor, a chemist and public affairs analyst, pointed out that many men involved in these tragic cases were trying to impress strangers — not their wives. According to him, such actions have both physical and spiritual consequences.

“These women are often strangers with unknown backgrounds. What if they are diabolical or hiding dangerous intentions? Besides, infidelity comes with consequences — moral, spiritual, and physical,” he said.

He also emphasized that many of the victims had used sex-enhancement drugs or herbs, which he blamed for abnormal blood pressure and fatal collapses during sex.

The Way Forward: Discipline, Health Checks, and Contentment

The experts agree on one thing: men must prioritize their health and exercise self-control. Rather than trying to prove anything to a side chick, they advise married men to find satisfaction within their marriages and avoid risky behavior.

The message is clear — no thrill is worth your life.
