EX-CAN PRESIDENT URGES TINUBU TO ADDRESS HUNGER AND INSECURITY
A former President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Rev Samson Ayokunle, has urged President Bola Tinubu to take stronger measures to address hunger, insecurity and inflation in the country.
Ayokunle made the call on Friday, saying the Federal Government needed to intensify efforts to ease the economic difficulties facing Nigerians.
The former CAN president also expressed concern about insecurity and urged the government to strengthen measures to protect citizens and communities affected by violent attacks.
He said tackling hunger and insecurity should remain a priority because of their impact on households and the wider economy.
Ayokunle’s comments come amid continued public discussion about the cost of living, food prices and security challenges across the country.
He called for stronger government action to improve the welfare of Nigerians and address issues affecting vulnerable communities.
His appeal adds to calls from religious leaders, civil society groups and other stakeholders for measures that can reduce economic hardship and improve security.
