“EVERY FOREIGN MEETING IS FOR NIGERIA’S GOOD” – TINUBU JUSTIFIES TRAVELS
President Bola Tinubu has defended his recent foreign engagements, stating that each handshake and agreement made during the trips was geared towards ensuring Nigeria’s growth and prosperity.
Tinubu explained that his visits to Japan and Brazil focused on creating opportunities that would drive development and generate jobs for Nigerians. He shared this shortly after returning from a 10-day official engagement that included stops in Brazil, Japan, and Los Angeles, United States.
According to him, the essence of the trips was to pursue avenues that would boost the nation’s prosperity.
“Every handshake, every agreement, and every meeting is guided by one goal: to secure opportunities that translate into growth, jobs, and prosperity for Nigerians,” he noted.
The President highlighted that in Japan, Nigeria deepened collaborations expected to attract investments in industry, technology, and human capital.
Similarly, he said that discussions in Brazil advanced partnerships in trade, agriculture, aviation, and finance, which would also strengthen investor confidence in the country’s economy.
“This is the new Nigeria we are building together—one anchored on sustainable reforms that will endure, not just empty rhetoric,” Tinubu added.
