Former Super Eagles captain and coach, Sunday Oliseh, has hailed Victor Osimhen as Nigeria’s best footballer, predicting a record-breaking move to the English Premier League (EPL) soon.

Speaking on his podcast, Oliseh said Osimhen’s stunning form—especially his hat-trick against Benin Republic in the World Cup qualifier—proves that the striker is operating at a world-class level.

“When it comes to Osimhen, I think four more games. If he plays the next three or four matches like he did against Benin, I can assure you that in the next one or two years, he will be heading to the Premier League. And they will buy him for crazy money,” Oliseh said.

The former Nigerian international, who captained the Super Eagles to victory at the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations, added that while Ademola Lookman currently holds the title of African Player of the Year, Osimhen’s overall contribution and quality make him the most complete player Nigeria has today.

“He is the best player we have at the moment, even though Lookman is rated a bit above him because of the award. But when you talk about quality and what a player brings to the game, Osimhen stands out,” he added.

Osimhen, who has long been linked with Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal, has continued to impress with his explosive pace, powerful finishing, and relentless energy for both club and country.

Football fans and analysts have since echoed Oliseh’s sentiment, noting that if Osimhen maintains his current form, a record-breaking EPL transfer could soon be on the horizon.
