EPL WEEKEND PREVIEW: 3 MATCHES THAT COULD PRODUCE SHOCK RESULTS
As the Premier League enters Matchweek 11, fans can expect another action-packed weekend filled with high-stakes clashes and potential surprises. With fixtures spread across England, a few matchups stand out as possible sources of shock results.
Here are three games where we could see unexpected outcomes this weekend:
1. Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United
After a 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest last weekend, Manchester United finally seem to have found some rhythm under new boss Ruben Amorim, picking up back-to-back wins before that stumble.
On paper, this trip to North London might look straightforward, especially with Tottenham struggling to find consistency at home. However, under-pressure manager Thomas Frank will be desperate for a response, and Spurs could come out firing to reclaim momentum.
If Tottenham rediscover their attacking edge, this could easily be the game that flips the form book on its head.
2. Sunderland vs Arsenal
This one has banana peel written all over it.
Arsenal have been rock-solid so far this season and know that a win would give them a huge advantage at the top — especially with Manchester City and Liverpool facing off on Sunday.
But Sunderland have quietly built an impressive record at home, remaining unbeaten at the Stadium of Light this season. With former Arsenal captain Granit Xhaka leading their charge, the Black Cats could spoil the Gunners’ title push — at least for a week.
3. Chelsea vs Wolves
It’s been a rollercoaster season for Chelsea under Enzo Maresca. After just 10 rounds of games, they already look miles off the title race, struggling to find consistency in both attack and defense.
Their last home outing ended in a shocking 2-1 defeat to newly-promoted Sunderland, and now Wolves arrive at Stamford Bridge hungry for points to climb away from the relegation battle.
With the visitors fighting for survival and Chelsea’s form stuttering, this fixture has all the makings of another big upset.
