Former Manchester United winger Nani has made a bold prediction that his former club could be in contention to win the Premier League title this season.

Speaking in an interview with Covers.com, the 38-year-old Portuguese star said there’s no reason why United cannot fight for the title under their new manager, Ruben Amorim.

United endured a rough start to the campaign but have shown significant improvement in recent weeks. Amorim’s side has climbed to sixth place in the Premier League after an impressive run of victories against Sunderland, Liverpool, and Brighton—marking his first three consecutive wins since taking charge in November.

With United now just one point off the top four and sitting above defending champions Liverpool, optimism appears to be returning to Old Trafford.

Why not?” Nani said when asked about United’s title chances. “They are building a strong team and trying to get back into real competition with the big clubs—Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Man City. They have the possibility.

“If they keep winning games, everything can change. If it’s not this year, maybe they will build confidence for next season. Not being in Europe helps in one way too,” he added.

While Arsenal remains the bookmakers’ favourite to lift their first title in 22 years, Nani’s confidence in United reflects growing belief among fans that the club might finally be turning a corner under Amorim.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
