EPL: MAN UNITED’S LAMMENS NAMED PREMIER LEAGUE SIGNING OF THE SEASON
Manchester United goalkeeper Senne Lammens has been named the Premier League Signing of the Season after an impressive debut campaign in England’s top flight.
The Premier League announced the award on its official X account on Monday following a vote involving fans, players, and managers, where the 23-year-old Belgian beat several strong contenders.
Lammens, who joined Manchester United from Royal Antwerp last summer, quickly established himself as one of the standout performers in the league with a series of consistent and decisive displays.
His commanding presence, shot-stopping ability, and crucial saves played a key role in United’s season, earning him widespread praise from supporters and pundits.
Reacting to the award, Lammens said he was delighted to receive the recognition in his first season in England.
“It is a special feeling to win this award in my first season in the Premier League. I want to thank my teammates, the coaching staff, and the supporters for their belief in me throughout the campaign,” he said.
He also dedicated the achievement to his teammates, stressing that football is a collective effort.
“Individual awards are always nice, but football is a team sport. This recognition would not have been possible without the players around me and everyone working behind the scenes at the club,” he added.
Manchester United’s manager also praised the goalkeeper’s impact since his arrival, describing his professionalism and performances as outstanding.
Lammens’ award marks a strong start to his Premier League career and highlights his growing reputation as one of the most promising young goalkeepers in English football.
