Manchester United legend, Gary Neville, has questioned the strength of Chelsea’s new-look attack, suggesting that their summer signings, Joao Pedro and Liam Delap, are not yet on par with the Premier League’s top strikers.

Chelsea brought in Pedro and Delap during the last transfer window as part of their efforts to sharpen their frontline. But Neville believes the duo still falls short compared to the likes of Erling Haaland (Manchester City), Alexander Isak (Newcastle United), and Hugo Ekitike (Liverpool).

Speaking on The Gary Neville Podcast, he said:

“I have to say, Chelsea looks well short for me, still, up front. For all the money they’ve spent, and I know they’ve got good players, Delap and Joao Pedro are still not at that level. They’re nothing like Haaland, or Isak, or even Ekitike for that matter.”

 

Neville’s comments reflect a growing concern among pundits and fans that Chelsea, despite heavy investment, still lack the firepower to compete with their Premier League rivals.
