Manchester United legend and football pundit Gary Neville has tipped Arsenal as favourites to win the Premier League title this season, saying the Gunners won’t need to reach the 90 or 100-point mark to become champions.

Neville shared his thoughts on his latest podcast, noting that Mikel Arteta’s side has shown enough consistency to stay ahead of the competition. Arsenal currently sit four points clear at the top after their narrow 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Sunday. They also lead defending champions Manchester City by six points and are seven points ahead of Liverpool.

“This has got to be them, hasn’t it? This has got to be their year,” Neville said confidently. “This is the fourth season in a row that I’ve backed Arsenal to win the league. They’re not necessarily miles better, but they’ve maintained a strong level of consistency — and that’s all they’ll need this season.”

Neville added that the current campaign doesn’t require record-breaking points to secure the title. “They are not going to need 100 points, or even 90 or 95 points, to win the league. Mid-80s, high 80s will win them this title, and they can do that,” he said.

With Arsenal maintaining steady form and rivals struggling to keep pace, Neville’s prediction could finally come true — making this potentially the year the Gunners reclaim Premier League glory.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
