EMIRATES CANCELS DUBAI FLIGHTS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE OVER MIDDLE EAST TENSIONS
Emirates Airline has announced the immediate suspension of all flights to and from Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) until further notice, citing ongoing airspace closures across parts of the Middle East.
In a statement shared via its official X account, the airline said the decision was taken as a safety precaution amid escalating regional tensions and flight route restrictions affecting several parts of the region.
“All flights to and from Dubai have been suspended until further notice. Please do not go to the airport. Emirates will share updates when available,” the airline said.
Emirates also urged affected passengers to remain patient as authorities continue to monitor developments.
“We would like to thank our customers for their understanding and patience as we closely monitor the situation,” the airline added.
Earlier notices had indicated that scheduled commercial operations would remain suspended until 23:59 UAE time on March 7. However, the latest update extends the suspension indefinitely while the security situation in the region is being reviewed.
Airlines operating across the Middle East have been adjusting flight routes or suspending services due to airspace restrictions linked to heightened military activity and security concerns.
Passengers scheduled to travel through Dubai have been advised to monitor updates from Emirates and check their flight status before making arrangements to travel to the airport.
