ELIZABETH OSHOBA SIGNS WITH JAKE PAUL.
Nigerian boxing star Elizabeth Oshoba has inked a promotional deal with Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), the firm co-founded by Youtuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul.
The reigning WBC Silver and IBO International Featherweight champion now bolsters MVP’s elite stable of female fighters, joining the likes of unified super bantamweight champion Ellie Scotney, IBF bantamweight titleholder Shurretta Metcalf, and interim WBA super featherweight champion Jennifer Miranda.
Already a trailblazer, Oshoba etched her name in history earlier this year by becoming Nigeria’s first female world champion boxer.
Her star continues to rise following her recent unanimous decision victory over Czech contender Lenka Volejnikova at London’s York Hall—a win that preserved her flawless 9-0-0 professional record. The 25-year-old has rapidly become one of international boxing’s most talked-about prospects, thanks to a string of dominant performances.
Oshoba's decorated amateur career laid the foundation for her professional success, highlighted by a bronze medal at the 2019 African Games and a silver medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games - achievements that served as springboards to her current professional dominance.
According to Oshoba:
''Every fight moves me closer to greatness. This victory wasn't just about the result - it was about refining my technique and proving my adaptability in the ring.''
Oshoba is reportedly slated for the undercard of the historic Katie Taylor-Amanda Serrano 3 showdown at Madison Square Garden on July 11 - Netflix's first-ever live boxing broadcast.
The Nigerian phenom has rapidly collected championship hardware since turning pro, including her explosive 10th-round KO of Italy's Michela Braga to claim the WBC silver featherweight title at Copenhagen's Royal Arena, adding to her IBO super-featherweight crown.
Backed by MVP's global platform, Oshoba's path to the #1 spot looks increasingly viable as she carves through women's boxing rankings with championship-caliber performances.
