EL-RUFAI SAYS HE HOLDS NO GRUDGE AGAINST FORMER ALLIES
Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has said he does not harbour hatred or resentment towards former colleagues, friends and family members who have distanced themselves from him.
El-Rufai made the statement while reflecting on the absence of some people who were previously close to him.
The former governor acknowledged that some individuals had chosen not to stand by him during his current circumstances but said he did not consider their decisions a reason to develop bitterness towards them.
He maintained that relationships could change with circumstances and that people were entitled to make their own choices.
El-Rufai’s comments come amid developments surrounding his current situation and his relationship with some former political associates.
The former governor previously served as Kaduna State governor from 2015 to 2023 and has remained active in Nigeria’s political space since leaving office.
He said his focus was not on seeking revenge against those who had distanced themselves from him.
El-Rufai’s remarks were contained in comments addressing the silence of some of his former associates and people who were once close to him.
