Ecobank Nigeria and Verve have launched InnovateX 2026, a youth-focused initiative offering N20m in prizes, mentorship and business development support to young Nigerians.

The programme is open to Nigerians aged 16 to 25, including students, entrepreneurs, innovators and creatives working on ideas in technology, engineering, science, product design, digital media, entertainment, fashion and other creative fields.

Participants will take part in bootcamps, expert-led workshops, mentorship sessions and networking activities before presenting their ideas at a final pitch competition to industry leaders and investors.

Head of Products and Analytics at Ecobank Nigeria, Victor Yalokwu, said the initiative was designed to help young people turn innovative ideas into sustainable businesses and solutions.

He said Nigeria had significant youth talent and entrepreneurial potential, adding that InnovateX would provide participants with the knowledge, exposure and resources needed to develop their ideas.

Ecobank said the initiative forms part of its broader youth empowerment strategy. The bank also highlighted its Blaze Account, a youth-focused financial product that provides access to financial services and development opportunities.

The programme is expected to support young Nigerians seeking to build businesses, develop innovative solutions and participate in the country’s growing digital and creative economy.
