The Debt Management Office (DMO) has opened subscriptions for the July 2026 FGN Savings Bond at an interest rate of 15.716 per cent per annum.

The bond, which is targeted at retail investors, offers a competitive return and provides an opportunity for Nigerians to invest in government securities with relatively low risk. The DMO encouraged citizens to take advantage of the investment window to earn attractive yields.

The Savings Bond is part of the government’s strategy to promote financial inclusion and deepen the domestic debt market. Subscription is open through authorised dealers and digital platforms.

Analysts expect strong demand for the bond given the prevailing high interest rate environment and the need for safe investment options.

The issuance is expected to support the government’s borrowing programme while offering citizens a reliable savings instrument.
