DLM TOPS MONEY MARKET RANKING WITH 20.69% RETURNS
The DLM Money Market Fund emerged as the best-performing money market fund in July 2026, recording a 20.69 per cent year-to-date return and moving up four places from fifth position in June.
The fund, managed by DLM Asset Management Limited, benefited from strong investor demand for money market instruments, which have continued to attract investors seeking relatively stable returns.
The Coronation Money Market Fund ranked second with a 20.22 per cent year-to-date return, while the RT Briscoe Savings & Investment Fund came third with 20.13 per cent.
The July ranking represented a change from the previous month, when Coronation Money Market Fund led the category with a 20.54 per cent return, followed by RT Briscoe Savings & Investment Fund at 20.30 per cent and First Ally Money Market Fund at 20.01 per cent.
DLM Money Market Fund had ₦2.07 billion in assets under management and 317 unitholders, with each unit priced at ₦1,000.
In comparison, Coronation Money Market Fund remained the largest among the top three performers, with ₦98.55 billion in assets under management and 20,347 unitholders.
The broader money market fund segment continued to account for a significant share of Nigeria’s collective investment industry. In June, money market funds had combined assets of ₦5.97 trillion, representing 65.52 per cent of total industry assets.
The latest performance highlights continued investor interest in money market funds amid changing market conditions and demand for investment products that offer competitive returns.
The July reshuffling also shows the competitive nature of Nigeria’s asset management industry, with fund managers competing to attract investors through performance, liquidity and portfolio management.
