Popular Nigerian singer Ruger, known for hits like “Bae Bae”, has shared a humorous yet relatable update on his love life — or lack thereof. Taking to his Snapchat page, the artist revealed that his mother has given him a December deadline to bring home a serious girlfriend, or she’ll step in and pick one for him herself.

In his playful post, Ruger joked:

“My mama don give me December as deadline. If I no bring one serious girl come house, she go arrange one for me.

Ladies, pls send in application. If not, I will be on distress sale by December.”

The cheeky message has since gone viral, with fans flooding social media to offer advice, submit “applications,” and share their own stories of family relationship pressure.

Beyond the jokes, Ruger has also been opening up about challenges in his music career. In a recent interview on the Afrobeats Intelligence podcast, he talked about how things changed after he left his former record label, Jonzing World.

He revealed that many in the industry distanced themselves, fans “cancelled” him, and some assumed his career was over.

“After leaving the label, people were saying things like, ‘You’re finished’, ‘This is your last tour’... Public sentiment in Nigeria is tough when you leave a label. They see you as ungrateful,” he said.

Despite the setbacks, Ruger remains determined and focused, proving he's not just surviving — he’s thriving. And as for his December “deadline”? Ladies, you’ve been officially notified — applications are open!

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
