Key political figures consolidate southern support under the PBAT Door-to-Door

Movement, targeting grassroots structures across all 774 local government areas to highlight administration's economic reforms

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, has teamed up with former Niger Delta warlord and chairman of Tantita Security Services, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (popularly known as Tompolo), to strengthen nationwide grassroots mobilization for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's 2027 re-election campaign.

The strategic alignment was solidified following high-level engagements centered around the expansion of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) Door-to-Door Movement. Speaking during the platform’s national secretariat launch, Kalu commended Tompolo for committing personal resources and leadership toward establishing a structured campaign framework capable of penetrating local communities.

Kalu urged the movement’s leadership to extend its door-to-door network across all 774 local government areas and 8,809 wards in Nigeria, emphasizing that direct voter engagement remains vital for explaining key government policies, such as regional development initiatives and economic reforms. He also highlighted the recent passage and assent of the South-East Development Commission (SEDC) Act as evidence of the administration's commitment to regional equity and infrastructure renewal.

Tompolo, whose security firm has spearheaded anti-crude oil theft operations in the Niger Delta, reaffirmed his support for the administration, calling on stakeholders across the South-South and South-West zones to consolidate behind President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
