“DELTA PASTOR ARRESTED FOR ALLEGED RAPE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT OF FEMALE CHURCH MEMBERS”
The Delta State Police Command has arrested a pastor in Sapele over serious allegations of rape, sexual assault, and exploitation of female church members, including three sisters and a 17-year-old girl.
The suspect, identified as Pastor Daniel Ololo of Omega Prophetic Prayer Ministry, was taken into custody at his church premises following a complaint filed on October 13, 2025.
According to SP Bright Edafe, the spokesperson for the command, investigations revealed that Pastor Ololo allegedly used fake prophecies to manipulate vulnerable church members. Victims were reportedly coerced into believing that their spiritual deliverance depended on complying with his sexual demands.
Shockingly, it was also discovered that Ololo had sexual relations with three sisters from the same family who attended his church, with the most recent victim being 17 years old.
The Commissioner of Police promptly directed the State Criminal Investigation Department to investigate the allegations, leading to the pastor’s arrest on November 17, 2025.
The police confirmed that Ololo remains in custody as investigations continue. Authorities have assured the public that the case is being handled with urgency and thoroughness.
This case highlights ongoing concerns about abuse of power and exploitation in religious settings, and the police have urged anyone with further information to come forward to aid the investigation.
